We offer a sincere and warm welcome to all our guests.
While staying at Kaimanga Lodge, guests are provided as much privacy as they wish, however, our door is always open for you to chat about your day, and to maybe share a glass a wine while planning where to go, and what to see, tomorrow.
Susie and Martin have extensive knowledge of this part of New Zealand, and are pleased to tell our guests about beautiful places, and things to see, they may not otherwise discover.
Kaimanga Lodge is set amidst beautiful 6 acre park-like gardens with extensive tropical tree and shrub plantings, a spring fed lake, and plenty of native wildlife and birds. The property is bordered by a small river.
Native birds regularly seen at Kaimanga Lodge are Tui, Fantail, Kereru, Morepork, and we sometimes hear Kiwi at night.
We have planted a small vineyard growing Chardonnay grapes.
For more pictures of our beautiful gardens, visit our gardens page.
Our beautiful swimming pool is private, secluded and is available for the exclusive use of our guests at all times.
Pool towels are provided.
Summer temperatures typically keep the pool temperature around 30 deg C.
New Zealand has high UV levels, so bring your favourite sunscreen.
We offer complimentary Internet access to our guests. If you do not bring your own computer, but would like to check emails etc., guests are welcome to use one of our computers in the Lodge.
